Historic Sutter Creek has brought a contemporary one-night version of Las Posadas, a festive Christmas tradition, to life in a heartwarming evening. December 14th-  Olde Tyme Christmas at Preston Castle! 

Travel back to olden times at the beautiful Preston Castle, from 10 am to 4 pm, and find holiday decorations and vendors with lots of interesting arts, crafts, jewelry, baked goods, and other special items. This is a great place to take care of much of your holiday gift list. 25+ Vendors will be indoors in the basement area of the Castle. Santa will be available for your wish lists and photos, starting at Noon, and carolers will be roaming around spreading Holiday Cheer. December 14th- Parade Of Lights!

 Sutter Creek comes alive in twinkling lights, as everything from cars, mail trucks, school buses, horses, dogs, people, marching bands, baton twirlers, and more, parade down Historic Sutter Creeks’ Main Street beneath the moonlight on a crisp December evening. Everyone is invited to come down and watch this magical parade. Children and adults enjoy this evening of old fashioned hometown fun. The parade starts at 6:30. Anyone can be in the parade. Watch for entry form the last quarter of 2019. This is a great opportunity for a family to do something fun together and also for businesses to advertise to the local community. December 8th- Knights Foundry Tours! 

The Knight Foundry, set in the heart of Sutter Creek, is America’s last water-powered foundry and machine shop. Established in 1873 by Samuel Knight, this extraordinary facility includes the unique historic equipment and machinery, still in place in its original context, just as it was during its gold rush-era heyday.  Self guided tours start at 10am and conclude 2pm. December 14th-  Knights Foundry Tours! 

Tours are now self-guided, so visitors can spend all the time they want in the Foundry complex, talking with docents and marveling at the magnificent machinery that is still intact and operating. Knight Foundry opens at 10 a.m and the last tour tickets are sold at 3 p.m.
Admission is $15 for adults 18 and older, $5 for students age 5-17, free for children under 5.
