Amador County Shuttle Service

Knight Foundry in Sutter Creek is America’s last water-powered foundry and machine shop and a premier relic of Mother Lode gold mining history. Join the docents at the Historic Knights Foundry for Self-Guided Tours on the second Saturday of every month.

Volcano Theatre Company
Volcano’s own resident community theatre group performs in two theatres in town. The indoor Cobblestone Theatre, and the outdoor Amphitheatre. Located in Volcano, just 13 miles from Sutter Creek.
Black Chasm Cavern
Tours Available Daily! Just outside the quaint village of Volcano, Black Chasm Cavern was designated a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service in 1976 after being recommended by local members of the National Speleological Society, and as such is considered a “nationally significant natural area.” Visitors to the cave are enchanted by the beauty of a wide variety of formations including stalactites, stalagmites, flow-stones and the vast arrays of rare helictite crystals, for which Black Chasm Cavern is justly famous.
Kennedy Mine Tours
Every Saturday & Sunday- 10am-3pm. March through October.
FREE Admission. Guided tours are: $12.00 for ages 13 to adult, $6.00 for youngsters 6 through 12, and free to those under 6. The Kennedy Mine, famous for being one of the deepest gold mines in the world (at 5912 feet), demonstrates how gold changed an entire way of life in California.
